There has been a lot of discussion recently about Jupiter's $JUP buyback plan. The project invested $70 million in 2025 for token repurchases, with the original intention of supporting the price by reducing circulating supply. However, from the actual performance, this strategy doesn't seem to have achieved the expected results.

Price trends tell us the truth—after a short-term spike, it quickly falls back, with fluctuations so small that no clear trend can be observed. Why is this happening? Perhaps the market has realized that simply reducing supply cannot fundamentally solve the problem.

Competition within the Solana ecosystem is indeed fierce. Besides Jupiter, there are also DEXs like Orca and Mercurial competing for trading volume within the ecosystem. In such an environment, just conducting buybacks and similar financial operations are far from enough. Users are more concerned with platform trading depth, new feature iterations, and ecosystem application expansion—these are the real factors that can enhance token value.

It is worth noting that if the buyback plan is truly terminated, market reactions could be swift. Investors should focus on Jupiter's trading volume growth and user stickiness, rather than relying on rounds of buybacks. Ultimately, the token's value is determined by the strength of its underlying product, which is especially important in the crypto market.

$70 million wasted? Can only buy back to save the market, haha --- It's the same old trick again. How many times does the buyback rescue script need to be played before learning a lesson? --- Exactly, with so many DEX infighting in the Solana ecosystem, simply burning money to buy back your own tokens is useless --- JUP is just living off its past glory now. If its competitiveness is lacking, it still wants to rely on financial tricks? Wake up, everyone --- Market depth and user stickiness are the real keys. We've known this for a long time, yet still dreaming of buyback miracles --- The market has seen through it all. No matter how many buybacks, they can't save projects without innovation --- I just want to know when it will end—that will be the real turning point

The coin price hasn't gone up; it can only be said that the buyback didn't involve real money, it's just talk.

$70 million spent and this is it? Jupiter is just doing charity Buybacks can never save projects without fundamentals; frankly, it's just closing your eyes and stealing a bell Orca has already started competing fiercely; if Jup doesn't want to innovate, they'll be eaten sooner or later

The $70 million wasted is real; buybacks are just empty talk. Jupiter should think more about how to improve trading experience, or it will eventually be eaten by Orca. What’s the use of daily buybacks? Users aren’t fools. Honestly, what I’m optimistic about isn’t the JUP token itself, but the development potential of the SOL ecosystem. If the buyback plan really stops, this wave of cutting leeks will be even more obvious. The problem is that competitors are already iterating new features, while JUP is still playing with concepts. I just want to know, did they consider the consequences before investing that $70 million? Just reducing supply without increasing demand, this logic has been bankrupt since 2021.

Spending 70 million USD to water down the market is indeed a trick that can't fool people with buybacks. --- To put it simply, lacking product strength and trying to survive by burning money is just laughable. --- Instead of buybacks, it's better to develop more features; users are not fools. --- Orca has been there all along, so why does Jupiter think it can win? --- This move is just closing your ears to steal a bell; price can't be fooled by tricks. --- Projects that can truly rise in value never need to buy back every day; there's a lesson here. --- Liquidity is the key; buybacks are just illusions. --- It seems that the DEX game isn't that simple.

Is $70 million buyback worth this effect? Truly disappointing. --- At the end of the day, it all depends on trading volume. Throwing money around alone is useless. --- Solana's competitive environment is really brutal; if you don't innovate, you'll die. --- The buyback tactic is outdated; the market isn't stupid. --- Instead of discussing buybacks every day, why not see what new features they are developing? --- Honestly, it's just that the product strength can't keep up with the hype. --- Once the buyback stops, the truth will be revealed. That's when the real interest begins. --- Liquidity is the key; reducing supply alone can't save the market. --- If user stickiness doesn't improve, no matter how much money is spent, it's all in vain.
