Tell the truth, if the crypto circle wants to stabilize and make money, it's not that mysterious. But the premise is to think clearly about one question.

Few people who can stand the test in the long run rely on contracts to make a living. I’ve interacted with many contract traders, and only a handful can truly break out. The money made in the short term is ultimately lost again and again. Contracts, to put it simply, are a probability game; once emotions are involved, most outcomes are not very good.

The so-called story of making money with contracts? Mostly comes from signals, community operations, and other channels, rather than profits from trading itself. Want to turn things around with contracts? The success rate is actually much lower than you think. Instead of taking this risk, it’s better to avoid it altogether.

So what if you lose money trading spot?

Actually, getting back to break-even isn’t as hard as you imagine—it all depends on two key points.

**First, look at the scale of the loss.** If you didn’t chase after sky-high prices and your principal remains intact, aiming for a 3 to 5 times rebound isn’t an unrealistic goal. Opportunities are indeed present in the market.

**Second—and this is the easiest to overlook—** after selling, can you truly sit on the sidelines?

Most retail investors’ problems aren’t about being unable to sell, but what happens after they sell. Various good news, exchange hype, and encouragement from people around them pull traders back into the market wave after wave. The result? They buy higher each time, eventually getting trapped and unable to move.

Those who truly make money in crypto all have one ability: knowing when to stop, and being able to wait after stopping. Staying calm when needed, not being led by constantly changing information.

In the end, the game in the crypto circle isn’t that complicated. The real difficulty lies in three things: controlling greed, learning to hold cash, and enduring loneliness.

As long as you truly master these three, you’ve already left most people behind.

Honestly, that last sentence hit home. Suppressing greed is easy to say but really a torment to do.

After selling, you can still sit on the bench. This really filters out most people; I have a bunch of such people around me.

I've seen too many contract players exit the game, really just giving back the money they earned, to put it plainly, it's a gambler's mentality. Spot trading is the right path; the key is whether you can resist checking the market after selling, which is the hardest part.

The contract system is just a gambler's game. I've seen too many people make quick money only to lose everything. Spot trading is the right way; the key is whether you can resist coming back after selling.

Suppress greed, learn to hold cash, and endure loneliness—that's exactly right. This is true skill.

It's a harsh statement, but it hits the point. I've seen through the contract game long ago; it's just a money-grabbing machine for retail investors, whoever plays it ends up crashing. As for spot trading, the idea of holding a no-position stance is somewhat interesting. Most people indeed sell and then can't resist buying again, repeatedly getting cut, and eventually being chopped into minced meat. The difficulty lies in endurance, not in the operation.

ngl, the "sit cold and wait" part hits different. most people just can't help themselves, honestly.
