What exactly is the definition of decentralized applications and Web3 applications? The key difference lies in who has the final say. Web3 applications should be based on user interests, with decision-making power and profit sharing distributed to users across the entire ecosystem. This is completely opposite to Web2 — where the focus is on shareholder interests, and platforms monopolize the economy to trap users, with all profits going to capital parties.

Think about it: on Web2 platforms, the data, content, and interaction records created by users are turned into commercial assets by the platform, and users get nothing. The decentralized logic is different; community members participate in governance and share in the benefits. That’s the path Web3 should take. Of course, many projects are still exploring now, but the direction is to make users the owners of the ecosystem, rather than being exploited by platforms.

Sounds good, but can these projects really give users a say now? It still feels like the same old rhetoric... That's right, we need to give the retail investors a voice too, or it's just a different coat of the same old soup. It would be great if Web3 could really do this, but right now it still feels like the big players are calling the shots. The ideal is great, but what's the reality? It all depends on whose backing has more muscle. I just want to ask, how are the profits divided? Is it truly transparent? Or is there another wave of exploitation?

That's right, that's how it is. We're all tired of the Web2 way of cutting leeks, it's about time to change the approach. Really, user-generated content still has to be exploited by capital, and that logic is just absurd. The key now is how each project will implement it, but if the direction is right, there's hope. Some projects are still in the PPT fundraising stage, and it seems that very few have actually achieved this. But at least it's more conscience than Web2, where users can share in the profits—it's no longer a dream. Now we just wait for a project to truly run this model, so that Web2 people can see the real results.

That's right, now it's a matter of who can truly implement this logic, otherwise it's just empty talk. The Web2 model of harvesting users like grass is indeed overdue for change, but there are too many Web3 projects just shouting slogans. Users becoming the masters? First, they need real governance rights to speak, not just being given some tokens to call participation. Many projects now are just rebranding to continue harvesting, only changing the way profits are distributed. The core is decentralizing power, but this is not so simple. Ideals are lofty, but reality depends on how well the actual execution goes.

You're right, but currently 99% of Web3 projects are still just scamming, with very few truly returning benefits to users. --- Web3's ideals are grand, but the reality is a mess—just look at those rug pulls to know the truth. --- Wait, can community governance really let me get a share of the profits? Or is it just another empty promise? --- Sounds good, but I still feel some projects are secretly scamming users behind the scenes. --- I agree with this logic, but the key is how to ensure it doesn't get ruined by a new wave of vampire capital. --- Maybe a decade of exploration in this phase, haha. Anyway, I've already lost a lot. --- Users as owners? Let me see real profit sharing first.
