Haven't touched Discord in years, and honestly questioning why so many crypto projects still depend on it. The thing is, calling it "community" feels like generous framing—most of the time it's just random noise. Without strict access controls and serious moderation, these platforms naturally evolve into chaos. The longer they run, the worse the signal-to-noise ratio becomes. You get flippers, scammers, spam bots, and genuine noise drowning out any meaningful discussion. Projects keep using Discord because it's free and everyone else does it, but there's gotta be better infrastructure for actually building something sustainable. The real question is whether any platform-based community can scale without turning into a cesspool.

Discord is just a mess; the longer it goes on, the worse it gets.

ngl discord is just a dark forest at this point... signal-to-noise ratio collapses faster than a sandwich attack in the mempool. projects use it because it's free, not because it actually works lol

Discord is just a garbage gathering place; it was about time to switch to something else. Speaking of which, people bring up this kind of topic every week. Is it useful, or do we still have to use Discord? I agree, in the end, the Discord of old projects is just bots and fans chatting. It's free, after all, nobody wants to invest real money to build something. Scaling the community is inherently a false proposition; the larger it gets, the more it becomes a cesspool. Honestly, the noise signals have long since broken, and there's no saving it. So where are the alternatives? After all this talk, we still have to go back to Discord.

The truth may be rough, but those trash on Discord really need to be cleaned up. --- You get what you pay for; it's just a matter of time. --- Oh my God, another degen screaming in my feed. That's why I hate Discord. --- Is it really so hard to build a decent infrastructure? We have to keep relying on this broken stuff. --- The word "sewer" is so fitting; every time I go in, I want to leave the group. --- The signal-to-noise ratio is almost as bad as spam; it's crazy. --- Wait, you haven't touched Discord in years? Brother, that's what a winner looks like. --- Resellers and bots are everywhere; genuine project discussions are overwhelmed, a typical case of bad money driving out good.

Discord, this trash pool should have been eliminated long ago. It's better to go to Telegram. Well said, signals are getting worse and worse, full of bots and gold-farming dogs. Just go for free; the project team is too lazy, just looking for cheapness. Scaling and quality are impossible to achieve simultaneously; this is an eternal paradox. Instead of enduring the noise there, it's better to build a real DAO community.
