Abstract generation in progress

BriefCatch, an AI-integrated document creation tool for law firms, has secured $6 million in Series A funding from Full In, a software growth investment fund. The company’s secure platform provides professional guidance and AI capabilities within lawyers’ document workflows, designed to allow legal professionals to maintain full control over the final content.

Growing Market Demand and BriefCatch’s Positioning

Law firms are feeling increasing pressure to accelerate digital transformation, while concerns about accuracy and security with generative AI adoption are also rising. In this environment, BriefCatch functions not just as an AI tool but as a check and balance that preserves lawyers’ judgment and responsibility.

Founded by legal writing authority Ross Guberman, the company built its platform based on established legal writing principles. It is directly integrated into Microsoft Word, supporting refinement of arguments and clarity of documents. Its security-focused design has earned trust from law firms and courts.

Investment Background and Future Strategy

Elodie Dupuy, founder of Full In, states, “The legal technology market is at a major inflection point, driven by AI.” She notes that the company’s focus on deep specialization differentiates it from more generalized tools and adds real value for clients.

Market traction for BriefCatch is reflected in its numbers: a 99% customer retention rate, 100% gross retention in law firms and courts, and a 126% net revenue retention rate. These metrics demonstrate expanding user adoption and long-term value creation.

With this funding, BriefCatch plans to focus on:

  • Accelerating development of more advanced AI-assisted document creation features tailored to legal workflows
  • Expanding the team and strengthening market presence, increasing adoption across law firms and legal organizations
  • Deepening commitments to security, accuracy, and user control, ensuring lawyers retain oversight and responsibility for the final output

Guberman’s Outlook

“We are moving to the next phase of AI adoption,” Guberman says. “Connecting a passion for top-tier legal writing with custom AI systems that contribute to clients’ career advancement. We are grateful to have built one of the most powerful net revenue retention profiles while earning trust from the world’s most respected companies and courts.”

In the market for AI platforms for legal professionals, there is a growing demand for balancing efficiency with traditional standards of legal documents. BriefCatch is expected to continue expanding its influence in this space.
