Bitcoin Surges Toward Seven-Figure Milestone? Jan3 Founder Eyes Aggressive Elon Musk Entry in 2026

Crypto entrepreneur Samson Mow has laid out an ambitious roadmap for Bitcoin and billionaire Elon Musk’s involvement in the asset class during the coming year. According to Mow’s recent X post, he expects the Tesla CEO to make a decisive push into BTC—a shift that would mark a notable reversal from Musk’s previous environmental concerns that prompted Tesla to abandon Bitcoin payments back in 2021 and subsequently offload 75% of its holdings by mid-2022.

The Price Target Question

More striking than his Musk prediction is Mow’s valuation thesis: Bitcoin could hit $1.33 million by 2026, representing roughly 1,367% upside from its current trading level around $95,596. This call aligns with his earlier messaging to major publications, where he suggested the $1 million threshold would be breached either late in 2025 or during 2026, framing it as almost inevitable at this juncture.

Mow’s bullish conviction rests partly on nation-state adoption dynamics. He has pointed to an accelerating trend where governments are preparing to integrate Bitcoin into their reserve strategies and financial frameworks. In comments from late 2025, Mow characterized the shift as moving from “gradual” adoption phases into a “sudden” acceleration phase—suggesting a potential inflection point.

Conservative Voices Offer Counterweight

Not all industry figures share this optimism. Bitwise’s chief investment officer, Matt Hougan, recently outlined a more measured scenario: steady appreciation over a decade-long horizon with “lower volatility” rather than explosive gains. This measured stance reflects growing caution after several high-profile predictions failed to materialize. Arthur Hayes and Tom Lee’s $250,000 Bitcoin forecast for end-of-2025, made as recently as October when the asset was trading near $62,500, never materialized before year-end.

The Broader Prediction Portfolio

Beyond Bitcoin itself, Mow has forecasted that Michael Saylor’s MicroStrategy stock (MSTR) could climb to $5,000—a potential 3,084% move from its current $157 level. He also anticipates Bitcoin will “outperform precious metals” following gold and silver’s recent record highs of $4,549 and $83 respectively, and predicts sovereign Bitcoin bond issuance will commence with “at least one country” launching such an instrument in 2026.

When pressed about his 2025 track record, Mow dismissed retrospective analysis, opting to focus exclusively on forward-looking thesis development rather than past forecasting accuracy.
