I've learned this the hard way. Holding a position so massive that you can't sleep soundly? That's not winning, that's a trap. Why would anyone chain themselves to the charts all night, watching every tick, when there's a whole life to live outside the markets?
The anxiety isn't worth the potential gains. Your mental health is the real asset here.
Trade to fund your life, don't mortgage your life for trading. The best traders I know keep positions they can actually forget about for a day or two without breaking into cold sweats. They sleep like humans, not like they're running a derivatives desk at 3 AM.
Size your bets so your mind stays clear. A peaceful night's rest beats an extra 5% any day.

Realized too late, now I understand that sleep is much more valuable than profits.

Really, sleep is much more important than profits, just being honest.

Really, this is wisdom. I have seen too many people be hostage to their positions, staring at the charts obsessively every day until they go crazy. Is it worth it? Sleep is the most valuable.

That's so true. My sleep quality directly collapsed because of my heavy position, and now I don't dare to look at the market.
Don't let your portfolio size own you.
