Looking at the perpetual DEX landscape, here's what the numbers reveal based on 7-day trading volume and open interest metrics.

Hyperliquid continues to dominate the leaderboard, maintaining its position as the leading platform. Aster follows in second place, with Lighter securing the third spot. The competition heats up as edgeX, Extended, and Variational round out the top tier, each capturing meaningful market share.

Further down, Grvt, Paradex, and ApeX Protocol demonstrate strong traction in the perpetuals trading space. Pacifica completes the top 10, showing the diverse ecosystem of decentralized derivatives platforms.

This ranking snapshot reflects the current market dynamics—where liquidity concentration, trading volume, and open positions tell the story of which platforms traders are gravitating toward. Whether you're tracking market movements or evaluating platform activity, these metrics offer a clear window into the perp DEX momentum.

Once again, I got liquidated on Hyperliquid. This time I learned my lesson and didn't look at the leaderboard directly.

Hyperliquid holds a pretty stable leading position, but it depends on whether there are permission control vulnerabilities in their contract deployment... Similar platforms before have suffered losses due to integer overflow issues.

On-chain data shows that Hyperliquid's liquidity concentration is indeed abnormal; a deeper look into the contract change logic is needed. The ranking changes of Aster and Lighter are quite interesting; from the code, clear signs of liquidity migration are evident. Speaking of these rankings... based on past experience, such rapid reshuffling often indicates something suspicious. There is an issue with the seven-day trading volume ranking; monitoring shows inconsistent data refresh times. As expected, ecosystem fragmentation is becoming more severe, and platform concentration cannot explain much. Deploying those contract changes late at night, it's worth noting that no one is discussing the underlying fund flows... This leaderboard... it looks like it's being used to boost certain platforms.
