Been looking at this Layer 2 gas optimization token lately and can't wrap my head around the recent selloff. Here's what I'm genuinely confused about: is this a personality-driven token that pumps whenever a certain influential backer shows up, or is the price actually tied to real network usage metrics and adoption numbers?
Because the fundamentals don't seem to justify this kind of volatility. If the tech is solid and adoption is growing, why the panic dumping? And if adoption is actually stalling, shouldn't that be reflected in the on-chain data first?
Not holding any of this myself, but watching the market disconnect between hype and actual utility is pretty frustrating.

ngl, this is a typical popular coin. A big V posts a tweet, and the token skyrockets. When they go silent, they directly dump... On-chain data doesn't support this wave of decline, but the market just eats it up.

ngl the whole "is this adoption or just hype?" question is literally the adoption curve problem nobody wants to acknowledge... you're basically asking if we're past the inflection point and most people don't have the on-chain literacy to even look, so yeah it dumps

Once again, the old routine of "fundamentals vs market sentiment"... To be honest, I can't see through it either. It feels like a single tweet from a big shot can make the market go crazy, while on-chain data simply can't keep up with price fluctuations. That's the real money-making machine for retail investors.

NGL, this is a typical popular coin. A big V comes out and yaps a few words to pump the price, but the on-chain data doesn't match at all...

On-chain data has long indicated the issue; insisting on looking at candlestick charts to find answers is just a gambling mentality.

This is a classic supply line break, and no matter how good the technology is, it can't withstand the collapse of confidence.
