Deep Tide TechFlow News, January 22 — According to Farcaster co-founder Dan Romero, Neynar, one of the Farcaster clients, will acquire the decentralized social protocol Farcaster. In the coming weeks, Farcaster’s protocol contracts, codebase, applications, and ownership of Clanker will be transferred to Neynar, which will be responsible for subsequent operations and maintenance.\n\nSome members of the Merkle team, Varun, and Dan Romero will step back from the daily operations of Farcaster and shift to new projects. The Neynar team has been developing on Farcaster from the beginning and is one of the earliest Farcaster clients. Its infrastructure now supports most of the developer ecosystem.\n\nDan Romero stated that after five years of development, Farcaster needs new approaches and leadership to realize its full potential.
