U.S. senators oppose giving the CFTC excessive crypto regulatory powers

Mars Finance News, January 30, local time, Thursday, at a meeting between the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to jointly discuss regulatory coordination issues in the crypto field, Senator Amy Klobuchar warned that the CFTC’s powers should not be expanded without a full committee. “We cannot give the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, which has only one member, such broad new powers.”
