BUCK Token: The Cryptocurrency Savings Tool for Non-Traders

Ang Buck Labs has launched a new approach in the world of cryptocurrency—this is not an investment for active traders, but for those seeking a way to earn passively. The BUCK token is designed as an alternative to traditional stablecoins, aiming to generate regular income for long-term holders who want to save in digital assets.

Similar but Different: Why BUCK is Not an Ordinary Stablecoin

BUCK started at a price of $1, but it is not guaranteed to stay flat like stablecoins used for quick currency exchanges. Travis VanderZanden, founder and CEO of Buck Labs, said that BUCK is a “SavingsCoin”—a tool for what happens after the transaction, where your money earns while waiting.

This product is specifically designed for people who dislike complicated trading strategies. “People want a simple way to earn rewards in Crypto without becoming speculators,” VanderZanden said. BUCK offers approximately 7% annual returns that accumulate minute-by-minute, requiring no active management.

The Bitcoin Connection: How the Strategy and BUCK Connect

The strength of BUCK lies in its backing—the token is supported by shares of the Strategy (MSTR), the company known for its focus on accumulating Bitcoin. The Strategy currently holds about 675,000 BTC on its balance sheet, making it the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin in the world.

Important to note: Michael Saylor, founder and chairman of Strategy, has no direct relation to the Buck token. Strategy and Saylor do not endorse or sponsor BUCK. The connection is purely structural—the rewards come from STRC (Strategy’s perpetual preferred stock linked to Bitcoin) which pays periodic income.

Rewards and Governance: Your Control over BUCK

BUCK is not just an investment vehicle; it is also a governance token. Holders have the right to vote on reward distribution and other protocol decisions, giving the community real control over the product.

The rewards system is innovative—it is not automated or predetermined like traditional staking. Depositors receive regular income that reflects the underlying Bitcoin performance, bringing the concept of cryptocurrency savings to a new level.

Who Is It For? BUCK’s Design for Long-Term Holders

Firstly, BUCK is only available to non-U.S. users and is not offered as a security, allowing for a more flexible regulatory approach. The target market is clear: cryptocurrency enthusiasts who are not actively trading but want to benefit from long-term holdings.

Buck Labs positions BUCK as a complement to, not a replacement for, the existing stablecoin ecosystem. While stablecoins are perfect for quick transactions, BUCK focuses on “idle capital”—the money you save and do not liquidate. For these people, BUCK offers a way to appreciate their crypto holdings without the pressure to speculate or trade.

The message is simple: in the digital economy, as in the traditional economy, you need a way to spend and a way to save. BUCK is the answer to the second need—the savings layer of cryptocurrency.
