ChainCatcher News, Layer 1 network developer Pod announced the completion of a $10 million seed round funding, with a16z CSX and 1kx leading the investment, and participation from Flashbots, Blockchain Builders Fund, Protagonist, as well as multiple angel investors from Celestia, Babylon, and Axelar.

It is reported that Pod plans to build a “trustless” Layer 1 network with transaction speeds comparable to Google search response times. Pod is expected to launch its developer network in the coming weeks, with the testnet scheduled for Q3 2025, and the mainnet planned to go live in Q1 2026.
