Year of the Horse Investment Motto: Slow is Fast, Be a Long-Term Rider

Recently, I’ve been chatting with a few friends and noticed that everyone is discussing the “Horse Year Effect.” Some say that the market will be highly volatile in the Year of the Horse and that quick trades are necessary; others say that the Year of the Horse will be booming, and the copycat season is coming. Actually, looking back at my trading experience at Gate over the past few years, my biggest insight is: the more vigorous the year, the more you need a steady rein.

Currently, the market seems lively, but a closer look at the charts shows it’s not a rampant bull market with widespread gains, but more like a structural “horse race”—some coins are galloping ahead, while others are stuck in place. At this time, blindly chasing MEME tokens that have already multiplied ten or even dozens of times often carries more risk than opportunity. Running fast in the Year of the Horse is good, but falling hard is worse. My personal strategy is: hold mainstream assets as ballast, and use small positions to discover “value” in new projects recently launched on Gate. Even if I’m wrong, I won’t get hurt.

This Spring Festival, the “Red Packet Rain” event at Gate Plaza also gave me a lot of inspiration. Instead of gambling on the contract market for overnight riches, it’s better to slowly accumulate GT rewards from participating in activities. As Gate’s platform token, GT’s ecosystem empowerment is growing stronger. This “small gains add up, slow is fast” approach to accumulation might be more solid than a reckless copycat gamble.
