Recently, the market has really driven people crazy. Spot trading is dull and lifeless, trading futures is risky because of sudden news that can cause wild swings. Just put your money into savings—those low interest rates are really depressing. Opening my account every day just makes me sigh.
Coincidentally, I checked out Gate’s ETF section, and after trying it out, I gotta say, it feels like discovering a new world. I used to think ETF terms sounded high-end, complicated, and far from us retail investors. But after trying to trade BTC5S (which is 5x short), I found it’s not that mysterious at all: Very easy to operate: No need to transfer funds or set leverage like with futures. Just search for the code and buy, just like buying spot. Very straightforward logic: If it has an L in the name, it’s bullish; if it has an S, it’s bearish. The number in the middle is the multiplier—easy to understand at a glance. Much more stable mindset: The best part is you don’t have to watch that “liquidation line.” It can still lose money, but not having to worry about being forcibly liquidated in the middle of the night reduces a lot of stress. And I found Gate pretty interesting. It’s not just for crypto; you can also trade gold, US stocks, and indices 24/7. Previously, I had to stay up late waiting for US markets to open, but now I can jump in anytime. The response speed is really fast. But I also want to tell my brothers: this thing has “net value erosion.” If the market keeps fluctuating back and forth, don’t hold on to it blindly. But if it’s a clear one-way trend like recently, just enter, take a bite, and run. It’s easier than futures and more profitable than spot trading—pretty attractive.
