95% mined, is Bitcoin entering the "collectibles era"?
In the traditional financial world, there is an asset called collectibles.
For example, famous paintings, antiques, rare sneakers.
These items have a common characteristic:
Limited quantity and increasingly difficult to obtain.
And now, many people are starting to view Bitcoin with the same logic.
The reason is simple:
The 20 millionth BTC has already been mined.
Remaining supply is only 5%.
And it will be fully released in 114 years.
This issuance speed is almost slower than any other asset.
Meanwhile, institutions like MicroStrategy are continuously accumulating.
In Michael Saylor's view, Bitcoin is not a trading product but a reserve asset.
This has also led to a new pattern forming in the BTC market:
Fewer short-term traders, more long-term holders.
When an asset shifts from a "trading tool" to a "store of value," price volatility often changes.
It can be crazy during rises, and also very intense during drops.
But the long-term trend is usually clearer.
This is also why many analysts believe Bitcoin is transitioning from a speculative asset to a digital reserve asset.
Of course, this path won't be smooth.
The market will go through bubbles, panic, regulation, and cycles.
But one thing is hard to change:
The supply cap is written into the code.
As more and more capital realizes this, Bitcoin's narrative may gradually shift from "speculative trading" to something else—
A scarce collectible in the digital age.
And history often tells us:
Truly scarce items ultimately don't have ordinary prices.
