Wave of ‘No Kings’: Over 8 Million Americans Take to the Streets to Protest Donald Trump
The nationwide demonstration titled ‘No Kings’ recorded a large participation with at least eight million U.S. citizens taking to the streets on Saturday local time. Organizers stated that the figure came from more than 3,300 protest points spread across all 50 states, making it one of the largest public mobilizations in recent years as a form of discontent with President Donald Trump’s policies.
According to a report from Agence France-Presse, the number of participants increased compared to similar demonstrations in October 2025. Although the U.S. government has not released official figures, the scale of the protests appears massive, covering major cities like New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, as well as various small communities across the country.
Interestingly, nearly half of the protests took place in regions traditionally known as Republican strongholds. States like Texas, Florida, and Ohio recorded hundreds of protest sites, indicating that the wave of protests is not only centered in liberal areas but also spreading to conservative regions.
In various cities, demonstrators carried banners, wore symbolic costumes, and staged theatrical actions as forms of criticism against government policies. In Los Angeles, crowds even brought giant balloons depicting Trump, while in New York, thousands of people marched through Manhattan voicing issues related to immigration and foreign policy.
Several public figures also attended, including actor Mark Ruffalo and political figures such as Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Senator Bernie Sanders. Support also came from various community groups, including labor unions, making this event a platform to voice broad public aspirations.
Although most protests remained peaceful, some points experienced tension between demonstrators and Trump supporters. However, overall, organizers emphasized that this event, attended by more than eight million people, reflects the increasing public pressure on government policy directions amid the political dynamics of the United States.
