Mars Finance news. On March 30, it was reported that the South Korean government plans to draft a budget with a scale of nearly 80 million billion won (about RMB 3.64 trillion) next year, using an expansionary fiscal policy to drive a major transformation in artificial intelligence (AI) and local development, and to cultivate new growth momentum. On the 30th, the Korea Planning and Budget Office said that the 《Budget Preparation Guidelines for the Fiscal Year 2027》, which includes the above content, was approved by the State Council on the same day. According to the 《National Fiscal Plan for the Years 2025—2029》 submitted to the National Assembly by the South Korean government in September last year, the 2027 fiscal spending scale is set at 764.4 trillion won. If the government’s currently being prepared supplementary budget and tax revenue growth are added, next year’s budget may be close to 800 trillion won. Specifically, in response to changes in the industrial ecosystem, the government will build a super-innovative economy, actively develop cutting-edge industries, and inject new momentum into the national economy. To this end, the government will advance AI transformation across all links such as manufacturing, demonstration, and promotion in every industry, aiming to help South Korea rank among the world’s top three AI powers. At the same time, the government will also accelerate the push for a green transition, further expanding support for residential solar power generation. (Wide-Angle Observation)
