On the 30th, the Korea Planning and Budget Office said that the 《Budget Preparation Guidelines for the Fiscal Year 2027》, which includes the above content, was approved by the State Council on the same day. According to the 《National Fiscal Plan for the Years 2025—2029》 submitted to the National Assembly by the South Korean government in September last year, the 2027 fiscal spending scale is set at 764.4 trillion won. If the government’s currently being prepared supplementary budget and tax revenue growth are added, next year’s budget may be close to 800 trillion won.
