Mars Finance News: On April 11th, at the 55th anniversary celebration of China-U.S. “Ping Pong Diplomacy,” ZhiYuan Robotics completed an interactive ping pong experience without remote control, fully autonomous.
This includes pure autonomous play and human-machine mixed matches throughout the entire process.
With no human intervention or preset routes, relying on real-time visual perception, motion intelligence, and sensory control integrated autonomous decision-making, it responds dynamically at millisecond-level precision to accurately capture high-speed incoming balls, replicating human competitive states with continuous receiving, offense-defense transitions, and multi-round play.
It uses China’s embodied intelligence strength to pay tribute to ping pong spirit.
This demonstration was completed by ZhiYuan in collaboration with Peking University and the ZhiYuan Research Institute team led by Zhang Shanghang.
Based on the Lingxi X2 open SDK ecosystem and model accumulation, they broke through technical bottlenecks in 10 days, showcasing the real-time decision-making and complex motion capabilities of bipedal humanoid robots in long-process, high-dynamic confrontation scenarios.
Earlier, at the 2025 World Humanoid Robot Sports Games, a desktop robotic arm won the Best Interaction Award for playing ping pong; this year, it was upgraded to a humanoid robot, leveraging “one brain, multiple forms” technology to achieve a leap, demonstrating China’s independently developed embodied intelligence core strength.
