X Money launching in April 2026
Boss gave extra work today and honestly i was doing it with one eye on the Gate chart and one eye on the X Money news 😂 salary coming late this month and now Elon is out here building something that might make my bank account feel very small.
X Money officially entered public access this month. Peer-to-peer transfers, 6% APY on deposits, Visa debit card with cashback, and in-app purchases without leaving X. (Bitrue) 600 million monthly active users. One app. One wallet. One place for everything.
The crypto angle is the part everyone is watching. DOGE jumped 8% on speculation but Musk has not officially announced any cryptocurrency functionality for the April launch. (Bitrue) No crypto confirmed. But X just hired the former CPO of Aave Labs and design head of Coinbase Base as its new design lead. That hire is not accidental.
done. except X Money as described right now is just Venmo with better yield. the crypto integRation everyone is pricing into DOGE is still a rumour not a product.
The more interesting question for crypto markets is not whether DOGE gets added. It is the 6% yield. Six percent on a balance inside a social media app used by hundreds of millions of people is higher than virtually every US savings account. (CoinDesk)
actually no what i meant was — the yield is the disruption. not the crypto. if X Money pulls savings deposits at scale before crypto integration arrives it changes the competItive landscape for stablecoins and DeFi yield products simultaneously.
What are you more bullish on — DOGE getting added to X Money or the 6% yield pulling liquidity away from crypto??
