The Iranian Speaker of Parliament will meet with the Prime Minister of Pakistan to discuss the format of Iran-U.S. negotiations.
ME News. On April 11 (UTC+8), Iran’s Islamic Consultative Assembly Speaker Kalibaf will hold talks with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz on the same day to determine the timing and format of negotiations between Iran and the United States. Additionally, the Iranian side will raise issues regarding the United States’ violation of its commitments to the Pakistani prime minister during the talks. The prerequisites for launching the negotiations include unfreezing Iranian assets and a ceasefire in Lebanon. The United States has informed Pakistan that it agrees to these prerequisites and other conditions for initiating the negotiations. The Iranian delegation plans to assess the U.S. position and how it has fulfilled its commitments during the talks, and then decide whether to negotiate with the U.S. side. In another report, Tasnim News Agency said that if Iran and the U.S. can hold negotiations, the current plan is for the talks to begin later on April 11 and they may last only one day.
