Today I casually stopped by an eyeglass shop with no intention to buy, but the staff member was so friendly that I ended up getting a pair of glasses.

I have mild myopia. Previously, my eyes would hurt and tear up after looking at the computer for half an hour. I thought something was wrong with my eyes, so I endured it for several years. Eventually I couldn't take it anymore and went to the hospital. The doctor said it was just myopia causing eye strain from computer use, and that wearing glasses would solve the problem.

Last time I took a ride-hailing car with a programmer driver who said he couldn't drive for long periods, especially not at night, because his eyes hurt. I immediately recognized the situation—it was exactly like mine: transitioning from no myopia to myopia, refusing to admit it, not wanting to wear glasses. I let him try on my glasses, and he suddenly discovered a new world. The world was so clear, and everything was so easy to see.
