Iranian President: Will use all capabilities to firmly defend national security

Golden Finance News reported that on April 3, during a phone call between Iranian President Pezeshkian and Azerbaijani President Aliyev, it was stated that Iran will defend itself with firm resolve and by mobilizing all available capabilities. Pezeshkian said that Iran was subjected to military strikes by the United States and Israel while it was negotiating with the United States, and emphasized that Iran will resolutely safeguard national security. That day, Pezeshkian also spoke by phone with Finnish President Alexander Stubb to exchange views on the regional situation. During the call, Pezeshkian criticized the European Union for its performance regarding issues related to the actions of the United States and Israel, saying that the positions of some European countries are “negative and even tendentious.” He also said that the current situation in the Strait of Hormuz is the result of U.S.-Israeli military actions, and emphasized that the relevant measures comply with international law. Stubb expressed concern about the current situation, stressing that the conflict should be de-escalated through diplomatic channels, and said he is willing to provide assistance for this purpose.
