Ethereum core developer Tim Beiko has released a proposal to "restructure the AllCoreDevs governance process".
PANews, May 8th - Ethereum core developer Tim Beiko has released a proposal titled “Reconstructing the AllCoreDevs Governance Process” aimed at optimizing the decision-making mechanism for network upgrades. The proposal suggests clearly defining the “fork focus” strategic direction (such as scalability, developer experience, etc.) before each Hard Fork and evaluating functional proposals through standardized templates, requiring a clear explanation of technical value, risks, and community impact. The new process adopts a two-phase review: early community discussion and later Testnet validation, advancing only 1-2 core functions per upgrade to avoid resource dispersion. For contentious cases like EOF, it stipulates that rejected proposals cannot be resubmitted in other forms during the same cycle. The plan also proposes establishing a formal working group mechanism for regular strategic assessments of long-term development projects. The reform aims to enhance decision-making transparency, balance development efficiency with community Consensus, and is expected to significantly improve the governance model for Ethereum upgrades. The proposal has entered the community discussion phase.
