Pakistan will follow the United States in establishing a Bitcoin strategic reserve.

Gate News bot news, Pakistan has announced the establishment of a government-led Bitcoin strategic reserve, marking a departure from its previous anti-crypto assets stance and indicating its intention to play an important role in the global digital asset space.

Bilal bin Saqib, the chairman of the Pakistan Crypto Assets Committee, announced this initiative on Wednesday at the Bitcoin 2025 conference held in Las Vegas, praising the United States for its leading role in this field.

But he did not provide details on the source of the reserve funds, nor did he specify how much Bitcoin will be held. However, Saqib made it clear that holding these Bitcoins is not for speculation, “We will hold these Bitcoins and will never sell them.”
