The U.S. President stated: The 90-day tariff suspension period will not be extended.

According to Gate News bot, the Associated Press reported that U.S. President Trump announced on June 29 that he does not plan to extend the 90-day tariff suspension for most countries and regions beyond July 9. Once the set negotiation deadline expires, the U.S. government will notify the relevant parties: if no agreement is reached with the U.S., trade punitive measures will be implemented as planned.

Trump stated that notifications will soon be sent to relevant countries and regions before the deadline. In a program on Fox News, he said: “We will assess the attitudes of all parties: friendly or unfriendly. For certain countries and regions, we don’t care, and we will just give them high numbers.” Trump also revealed in the interview that these notifications will specify: “Congratulations, you are authorized to purchase goods from the United States, with tariffs of 25%, 35%, 50%, or 10%.”
