Japan's largest trade union organization will push for a significant wage increase next year.

Jin10 data, October 23 - Japan's largest labor union organization plans to seek a wage increase of at least 5% in next year's annual negotiations, which is a positive sign for the Central Bank of Japan as it seeks stable wage growth to gauge the timing of interest rate hikes. This will be the third consecutive year that the Japan Trade Union Confederation has demanded a wage increase of over 5%. This year, the average wage increase for employees is 5.25%, the largest in 34 years.
