Canadian musician and producer Grimes' real name is Claire Elise Boucher. In an interview with tech magazine Wired, she was asked if she made more money through NFTs than her entire music career. She simply replied, "Yes."
During the 2021 hype cycle, Grimes sold her "War Fairies" NFTs on the Nifty Gateway platform for approximately $6 million. The collection, which showcases a collection of digital artwork to go with her music and also includes a one-and-only music video, sold for close to $400,000.
