Chairman of PwC UK: AI means that younger employees should go to the office more

Kevin Ellis, chairman of PwC UK, said that junior employees should spend more time in the office in order to get promoted faster, because the daily tasks traditionally assigned to younger employees can be done by artificial intelligence (AI). Speaking at the World Economic Forum, Ellis said generative AI is snatching away “entry-level tasks that used to require training for our junior employees,” and without them, “you have to somehow get people on a career path faster.” “It’s important to have more face-to-face time, and more career development,” Ellis said. "So it has to get more people to work together in the office. ”
