The left-wing alliance ‘New People’s Front’ won 188 seats, making it the biggest winner, but failed to reach the majority of 289 seats. President Macron’s centrist alliance secured 161 seats, while Marine Le Pen’s far-right National Rally secured 141 seats. Mark Foster, the EU policy lead for the Crypto Council for Innovation, stated that this will make it more difficult to formulate new policies, including cryptocurrency regulations.
