According to preliminary data from Counterpoint, global PC shipments in the second quarter of 2024 rose by 3.1% year-on-year, reaching 62.5 million units. This is also the second consecutive quarter of year-on-year growth in PC shipments. This rise is driven by a moderate replacement cycle and a relatively low base period, highlighting the continued recovery of the global PC market in 2024. AI PCs are still the hottest topic in the PC industry. Laptops powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon X platform have sparked the first wave of AI laptops. The upcoming AMD Ryzen AI 300 and Intel Lunar Lake, expected to be released in the latter half of the third quarter of 2024, will further promote the popularity of AI PCs.
