BlockBeats News, on October 3rd, Ripple’s Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty posted on social media, stating, 'The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)‘s decision to appeal is disappointing but not surprising. It’s just prolonging the embarrassing situation the agency has already found itself in. The court has rejected the SEC’s reckless behavior recommendation against Ripple, with no fraud allegations, and of course, no victims or losses. Under the leadership of current SEC Chairman Gary Gensler, the SEC has not faithfully enforced the law, but continues to launch lawsuits against the encryption industry. We are evaluating whether to file a counterclaim. Regardless, the SEC’s lawsuit has been irrational and misleading from the beginning, and we are prepared to once again prove this in the appellate court (leading the industry once again). The SEC’s enforcement director announced his resignation about an hour before this news was released. Is this just a coincidence?’
