Canadian wages rise still faster than inflation

Jinshi Data News on November 8th, Canada’s inflation problem may have been basically resolved, but wage pressures have not disappeared. In October, the average hourly wage of long-term employees rose by 4.9% year-on-year, slightly faster than the 4.5% in the previous month and exceeding market expectations. Wage growth continues to significantly outpace overall CPI inflation, while CPI continues to cool down, falling to 1.6% in September, below the Central Bank’s target of 2%.
