PANews November 26th news, according to Telegram Info (@tginfo) announcement, Telegram’s dedicated auction platform Fragment has started to enforce Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures, users need to pass identity verification to purchase “Star Coins”, Telegram Premium or anonymous numbers and other services. The verification process is provided by the third-party service Sumsub, which requires users to submit email, phone number, ID card scan and facial photo. Users can view the authentication status of their Telegram account and TON Wallet on the Fragment profile page. The current purchase of Telegram Premium and Star Coins through @PremiumBot or the app store is not affected. Decentralization markets (such as Getgems.io) still support the use of cryptocurrency to purchase anonymous numbers and usernames without KYC, but it is uncertain whether these non-fungible tokens can be used in Telegram for a long time. Telegram has not yet responded to this change.
