On December 4th, 金十数据 reported that the US Embassy in South Korea announced on December 3rd local time that it will cancel routine consular services on the 4th due to the emergency martial law order in South Korea and its subsequent impact. Embassy staff will work remotely to the greatest extent possible. Despite South Korean President Yin Xiyue lifting the state of emergency, the local situation in South Korea remains unstable. American citizens in South Korea should avoid going to areas where demonstrations are taking place and exercise caution when they are near areas with large crowds or protests.
