According to foreign media reports, the Baltic Dry Index fell to a 15-month low on Tuesday due to a decline in freight rates for all types of ships. The Baltic Dry Index fell 12 points or 1.03% to 1156 points, the lowest level since September 2023. The Capesize Index fell 29 points to 1503 points, also the lowest level since September 2023. The average daily profit for Capesize ships fell by $238 to $12,464. The Panamax Index fell 2 points to 1077 points. The average daily profit for Panamax ships fell by $22 to $9,691. The Supramax Index slid 4 points to 967 points, the lowest level since August 2023.
