Poll: Lee Jae-myung leads the popularity of potential candidates for the next South Korean president

On February 17th, the Korean polling agency Realmeter released a survey result, showing that in the next popular candidate for the election, Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the main opposition party, the Democratic Party of Korea, topped the list with a support rate of 43.3%. Following him are Minister of Employment and Labor Jin Woon-sub (18.1%), Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon (10.3%), Daegu Mayor Kwon Young (7.1%), and former leader of the ruling party, the People Power Party, Han Dong-hoon (5.7%), etc. In a one-on-one situation, Lee Jae-myung’s support rate far exceeds all the popular candidates of the People Power Party, with the difference far beyond the margin of error.
