The Trump administration warns that if academic institutions continue to implement equal rights policies, funding will be reduced.

On February 17th local time, it was learned that the Trump administration warned in a letter that if academic institutions continue to implement Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) equality policies, the federal government will cut funding to them. On his first day in office on the 20th, U.S. President Trump signed an executive order to abolish federal government equality policies such as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, calling these policies “radical” and “wasteful.” In his inaugural speech that day, he said he would end the government’s policies of trying to infiltrate racial and gender issues into all aspects of public and private life, stating that the United States will build a society based on abilities regardless of skin color.
