Nillion Secures $20 Million Series A Financing on December 12, 2022

According to industry media reports, privacy computing network project Nillion secured $20 million in Series A financing on December 12, 2022. Investors in this round included leading institutions such as Distributed Global, GSR, HashKey Capital, Big Brain Holdings, Chapter One, Inception Capital, SALT Fund, and AU21 Capital. Following this financing, Nillion's latest valuation reached $400 million.Nillion is a computing network integrating multiple privacy-preserving technologies, including non-interactive multi-party computation (MPC), trusted execution environment (TEE), and decentralized secure storage. The project enables encrypted data partitioning and parallel processing, achieving a seamless combination of data privacy protection and high-performance computing without the need for communication. This innovative approach unlocks data value across a wide range of applications such as Web3 identity authentication, privacy finance, and AI model training.Since its initial financing, Nillion has achieved several key milestones. The project launched its testnet on June 3, 2024, followed by two financing rounds of $25 million and $20 million on October 30, 2024, and June 19, 2024, respectively. On March 24, 2025, Nillion officially launched its mainnet and simultaneously enabled trading for its native token NIL. Subsequently, the token was listed on major exchanges on March 20, 2025, and debuted on Bithumb on March 25, 2025. On October 1, 2025, Nillion further expanded blind computation to the general-purpose computing sector, marking continued advancement of the project's technical capabilities.
