Sonic Labs — đơn vị phát triển blockchain Sonic — đã công bố ra mắt stablecoin gốc mang tên USSD, được bảo chứng bằng trái phiếu kho bạc Mỹ token hóa từ BlackRock, WisdomTree và Superstate.
USSD được thiết kế để cung cấp nguồn thanh khoản stablecoin cốt lõi cho toàn bộ hệ sinh thái Sonic, hỗ trợ các hoạt động tài chính on-chain trên mạng lưới.
Stablecoin này được xây dựng dựa trên hạ tầng frxUSD của Frax Finance, một hệ thống stablecoin mô-đun tương thích với đạo luật GENIUS, cho phép các tổ chức triển khai stablecoin theo mô hình “white-label”.
USSD cũng hỗ trợ mint từ hơn 10 blockchain thông qua tiêu chuẩn cross-chain LayerZero và có thể chuyển đổi trực tiếp với USDC. Người dùng có thể đổi USSD trở lại USDC trên các mạng được hỗ trợ bởi giao thức Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol của Circle.
Sonic Labs cho biết việc ra mắt USSD là một phần trong chiến lược tích hợp dọc các thành phần cốt lõi của hệ sinh thái nhằm tăng giá trị cho token S và thúc đẩy thanh khoản ổn định trong dài hạn.
