Công ty thanh toán stablecoin KAST đã huy động 80 triệu USD trong vòng gọi vốn Series A do QED Investors và Left Lane Capital đồng dẫn đầu, với sự tham gia của Peak XV Partners, HSG và DST Global Partners.
Theo Bloomberg, thương vụ này định giá KAST khoảng 600 triệu USD. Startup dự kiến sử dụng nguồn vốn mới để mở rộng hoạt động tại Bắc Mỹ, Mỹ Latinh và Trung Đông, đồng thời đầu tư vào cấp phép, tuân thủ pháp lý và ra mắt sản phẩm KAST Business.
KAST được thành lập vào tháng 7/2024 bởi cựu Phó chủ tịch Circle Raagulan Pathy. Công ty cung cấp nền tảng thanh toán xuyên biên giới sử dụng stablecoin, cho phép người dùng lưu trữ, kiếm lợi suất và chi tiêu “đô la số” thông qua thẻ hỗ trợ bởi Visa.
Động thái gọi vốn diễn ra trong bối cảnh thị trường stablecoin tiếp tục tăng trưởng mạnh. Tổng nguồn cung stablecoin neo theo USD hiện đang tiến gần 297 tỷ USD, trong đó USDT chiếm khoảng 61,9% thị phần và USDC khoảng 25,9%.
