Odaily星球日报讯 Vitalik Buterin 在 X 平台发文表示，对所谓“反数据中心民粹主义”（anti-data-center populism）持相对开放态度，认为在当前技术路径下，限制工业级硬件算力供应，可能是延缓通用人工智能（AGI）时间表“最务实、也最不具反乌托邦色彩”的方式之一。从与相关研究者的交流来看，减少大规模算力基础设施的可获得性，或有助于拉长 AGI 的发展周期，如果推动这一进程的社会力量最初源自对数据中心扩张的反对情绪，“那似乎也未尝不可”。
不过，他同时强调，仅针对位于人口密集地区的数据中心采取行动，并不足以实质性改变 AGI 时间线。他估算，在“静态世界模型”下，实现 10 至 100 倍的算力削减是可行的；若与未来芯片设计持续进步的假设情境相比，削减幅度甚至可能达到 100 至 10000 倍，而这样的规模“将真正产生影响”。尽管路径复杂，但任何重大调整都需要“第一步”。
