There have been recent widespread pessimistic forecasts about FLOW. Many people are loudly claiming that the total supply of FLOW exceeds 30 billion tokens, and such an unlimited issuance setup is destined to cause its price to collapse to decimal places. It sounds convincing, but these arguments actually only see half of the story.

What is truly overlooked is the destruction mechanism. This thing is not just for show. When trading activity on the DeFi ecosystem truly heats up, each transaction will trigger dynamic destruction—FLOW is continuously consumed in circulation. Think about it: as the circulating supply decreases and market demand remains, in which direction will the price be pushed?

Conversely, if DeFi remains stagnant with no significant activity, trading volume is dead, and the destruction mechanism becomes ineffective. At that point, the real issue is not price depreciation but whether the ecosystem itself can survive.

So rather than fixating on the number 300 billion, it’s better to focus on the actual applications and trading activity within the FLOW ecosystem. These are the real variables that will determine its future trajectory.

Is the destruction mechanism reliable? The Flow ecosystem's trading volume needs to truly pick up, otherwise this claim is pointless.

The number 30 billion has been overused honestly. The key is still burning tokens; without trading volume, everything is pointless.

The destruction mechanism is the real key; don't be intimidated by 30 billion.

The destruction mechanism sounds good, but I'm worried that DeFi won't have enough traffic.

The destruction mechanism is the key, not simply looking at the supply.

The destruction mechanism makes sense, but to be honest, the DeFi ecosystem's true growth still depends on how things develop moving forward.

The destruction mechanism is well explained, but I'm worried the ecosystem won't survive.

Basically, FLOW is a gambling ecosystem. Whether the token burn mechanism can get off the ground, that 30 billion figure is actually pretty useless.
