"On-chain Detective" ZachXBT: More Than 10 X Accounts Including Whale.Guru Collaborated to Promote Crypto Scam Projects
Deep Tide TechFlow News, on March 23, according to “On-Chain Detective” ZachXBT, revealed a coordinated scam network composed of over 10 X accounts. The network specializes in attracting traffic by sensationalizing war and political panic content, then promoting cryptocurrency scam projects.
The operation method involves purchasing existing accounts with a follower base, using AI to create fake personas (such as an Asian version impersonating Mario Nawfal), and posting exaggerated or false panic content multiple times daily. Small accounts repost to amplify exposure, while large accounts unknowingly engage in interactions, further increasing reach. Ultimately, they promote fake giveaways or pump-and-dump schemes in the comment sections.
On February 22, 2026, 10 accounts in the network collectively promoted the token $ORAMAMA, then completely stopped mentioning it. On-chain data shows this pump-and-dump scheme earned six figures in USD. ZachXBT believes the network is currently accumulating engagement in preparation for the next round of scams. He urges platforms to ban such manipulative behaviors and pursue legal action.
