U.S. envoy confirms Pakistan is acting as an intermediary between the U.S. and Iran
Golden Finance reports that on March 27, U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witterkoff confirmed that the United States has been negotiating with Iran through diplomatic channels in Pakistan. Witterkoff told President Trump during a cabinet meeting at the White House, “I can report to you today that we, together with your diplomatic team, have proposed a list of 15 actions that form the framework for a peace agreement. This list has been conveyed through the Pakistani government, which is acting as a mediator.” Witterkoff stated that so far, the framework “has sent strong and positive signals for dialogue,” but he declined to disclose specific details of the terms due to the sensitivity of diplomatic negotiations. He also said that Iran insists it has the right to enrich uranium. He noted that Iran has been stalling in negotiations, repeatedly refusing U.S. requests. (CCTV News)
