Tether plans to launch a new payment stablecoin product that complies with U.S. regulations.

According to Gate.io News bot and a report by Decrypt, Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino recently responded to the company’s development strategy in the U.S. market. He pointed out that in the face of a potential ban on the issuance of USDT in the U.S., Tether has chosen to launch a brand new stablecoin product. This product will focus on payment scenarios and will strictly comply with U.S. stablecoin regulatory requirements.

Paolo Ardoino also emphasized that the main application scenario for USDT is in emerging markets. He directly pointed out that USDT’s dominant position in the US and European markets will gradually weaken.
