The change in SWIFT's ISO 20022 has put XRP in a difficult position.

SWIFT estimates that 90% of regulated banks will adopt the global messaging standard ISO 20022, elevating cryptocurrencies that comply with ISO. SWIFT continues to test XRP and HBAR on new infrastructure, suggesting the possibility of deeper collaboration with Ripple. Technical images from SWIFT depict XRP alongside SWIFT in the R3 Corda ecosystem, showing that the Ripple ledger can support back-end operations.

This attracts attention as banks prepare for the deployment of ISO 20022 and its applicability by organizations. The ISO registration management group, overseeing ISO, includes major Layer-1 projects such as Algorand, HBAR, XRP, and Stellar, showcasing broader interaction ambitions. XRP and HBAR both compete for integration, but XRP stands out due to legal transparency and existing collaborations. The CEO of Ripple predicts capturing 14% of SWIFT's annual transaction volume of $155 trillion, emphasizing the importance of the XRP-SWIFT connection after the SEC resolution and over 300 TradFi collaborations.

XRP-7.7%
HBAR-8.46%
ALGO-6.21%
XLM-8.8%
