Pi Network has officially revealed the winners of its 2025 Hackathon, marking the first global developer competition since the launch of the Open Network. With more than 215 Mainnet app submissions, the event highlights the rapid growth of Pi’s developer ecosystem and rising interest in building real-world utility on the Pi blockchain.
The winning projects focused on key themes such as privacy, retail rewards, gaming, entertainment and social tools. Overall, the hackathon results demonstrate how Pi Network’s Open Network is motivating developers to build practical applications using verified identities, Pi payments and seamless on-chain functions.
Blind_Lounge won first place with a privacy-centered social platform that allows users to connect anonymously and reveal their identities only when both parties agree. By requiring a small Pi fee to create profiles, the app reduces spam and increases community authenticity. Only KYC-verified Pioneers can join, which enhances trust and discourages fake accounts. The team says its goal is to offer a safer and more genuine social experience compared to mainstream platforms.
Second place went to Starmax, a loyalty and rewards app that helps Pi-friendly businesses engage customers. Pioneers can spend Pi at participating merchants and earn incentives, while businesses can design customized reward programs. This approach supports Pi Network’s broader mission of real-world adoption by giving small businesses new ways to drive customer retention.
Run For Pi earned third place with an arcade-style runner game powered by Pi-based boosts, competitions and prize rewards. The Pi-integrated economy allows players to unlock items and join leaderboard challenges, increasing engagement while demonstrating how Pi can be used in entertainment-focused apps.
Five additional projects received honorable mentions: Kindrek, Workflet for Pi, PallyPay, SimpleJoy and Agora Pulse. These apps cover a wide range of utility, including matchmaking, workplace productivity, bill splitting, browser-based gaming and community voting features. With more apps now available on the Pi Browser, Pioneers can explore new tools, test features and provide feedback as developers continue to refine their products.
The strong hackathon turnout and increasing Mainnet activity signal a major leap forward for Pi Network’s ecosystem. As more applications launch each month, Pi is entering a new phase of real-world usability and sustained community-driven innovation.
