Pi Network news today has shared an important security warning to its global community. The team asks users to stay alert and protect their wallets from scams and phishing attacks. As the network moves deeper into its open mainnet phase. The Pi says wallet safety is now more important than ever.

The warning was shared through official Pi channels and reposted by community leaders. It reminds users that Pi wallets are non-custodial. Which means only the user controls the wallet. If someone steals your password or passphrase, your Pi coins can be taken forever. Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed.

In simple words, if you lose access to your wallet, your Pi is gone. Pi Network explained that many fake websites, apps and social media accounts are trying to trick users into giving away their wallet details. These scammers often pretend to be Pi staff, Pi Care Team or official support. Once they get your passphrase they can empty your wallet in seconds. The team said, Pi Network will never ask for your password or wallet passphrase.

Common Scams Pi Users Should Avoid

Pi Network shared a list of common tricks used by scammers. These include fake websites that look like Pi pages, fake ads on social media and messages that claim you won free Pi or need to verify your wallet. Some scammers even create fake Pi apps or browser extensions. Others send links that look official but lead to phishing pages. The team warned users not to trust random messages. Even if they look professional. If someone claims they can help you unlock Pi faster or double your coins, it is a scam. There is no shortcut in Pi Network.

Only Use the Official Pi Wallet

Pi Network reminded users that the only safe place to access their wallet is through the official Pi Browser. The correct link is: “http://wallet.PiNet.com“. Users should never enter their passphrase on any other website or app. If a page looks suspicious, close it immediately. The team also advised users to bookmark the official wallet page. Also, avoid clicking random links from social media or Telegram groups.

Pi Network Is Still in a Testing Phase

Pi Network also clarified that the project is still in a gradual decentralization phase. It is not yet fully open-source. Full decentralization will only happen after all testing is complete. This means users should be extra careful during this stage. Scammers often target projects during big upgrades and transitions. Pi Network stated that it will fully open-source the network once testing concludes. It will be a major milestone for the ecosystem.

New 2025 Review Feature Added

Along with the security warning, Pi Network also launched a new “2025 Review” feature inside the app. Users can tap the “2025 Review” button next to the chat icon to see their mining progress, milestones and achievements from last year. It is a fun way for Pioneers to look back at their journey and see how far they’ve come.

Pi Network news today ended its message with a simple reminder: Never share your password. Never share your passphrase. Only use official Pi links. As Pi moves closer to full decentralization, staying safe is the first step to protecting your future Pi.

Pi Network price hits a new 7-week low as a wave of 60 million token unlocks comes in

Pi Network's native token PI fell to $0.165 in April, hitting a 7-week low and leaving market sentiment weak. The unlock peak will release more than 60 million PI, adding downward pressure. Despite the core team recently publishing technical updates, it failed to improve market confidence and instead drew community criticism due to KYC access issues and the ongoing slide in price. Increased future supply could further drive prices lower.
