Epic Games responds to the resignation of two Tencent directors due to antitrust concerns

On December 19th, Jinshi data reported that on December 18th, local time, Epic Games, the developer of Unreal Engine, responded to the resignation of two directors from the board of directors appointed by Tencent, stating that the two directors resigned from the Epic board earlier this year ‘voluntarily’ ‘because of concerns expressed by the US Department of Justice’ and that ‘they only received a minority of the board’s voting rights.’ The US Department of Justice said that Tencent also decided to modify the shareholder protocol with Epic, giving up its unilateral right to appoint directors in the future or appoint Epic board observers.
